GOVERNMENT OF MEGHALAYA ADVERTISEMENT Application are invited from candidates who are permanent resident of Meghalaya for admission into the Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture (Non-Mulberry) and Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture (Mulberry) Course at Central Tassar Research and Training Institute (CRT & TI) Ranchi (Jharkhand) and at Central Sericulture Research and Training Institute (CRT & TI) Berhampore (West Bengal) respectively for self employment. The terms and condition and of training course are as follows: 1. DURATION :- The Training will be for a period of 15 months including 3 (Three) months intensive practical Training. 2. QUALIFICATI0N :- The Candidates should be Graduate in Botony/Zoology preferably with Honours with one of the subject with a minimum of 50 % marks and above in aggregate /Post Graduate in Biological Sciences (Botony/Zoology/Sericulture/ Agriculture/ Forest of a recognized University) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate may apply. 3. C0URSE FEE :- The Course Fee of Rs.5000/-(Rupees Five thousand only Non-Refundable drawn in favour of the Director CRT & T1, Ranchi (Jharkhand) if selected for Non-Mulberry and in favour of the Director CSR & TI, Berhampore if selected for Mulberry which should be borne by the candidates themselves. 4. ACCOMMODATION & FOOD - Accommodation will be provided in the hostel against payment of nominal charge of Rs.15/-(per person/day/Bed). Charges on food are based an actual (Dividing system for one and all in which the candidates should be borned by themselves if selected. 5. AGE LIMIT :- The Age of the Candidates should not be more than 27 years as on 1.7.2010 relaxable by 5 years in case of Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste Candidates. 6. ADVERTISEMENT FOR GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY Application of prescribed form for 3 Y, years course in General Nursing and Midwifery for the year 2010 -11 are hereby invited and will be received by the office of the undersigned till 3:00 PM on 9th July, 2010. 1. Male and Female unmarried candidates who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent resident of the State and passed the 10+2 level examination with 45% aggregate marks from recognized University Board or Authority are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to Science Candidates. 2. Age:-Eligible application are those who are not below 17 years or above 22 years as on 31 August, 2010. 3. Candidates are required to appear before Screening Committee in Civil Hospital, Shillong and Civil Hospital, Tura for verification of original copies for 10+2 Marksheet, Certificate, ST/SC Character Certificate from the Institution last attended and SSLC Marksheet and Admit Card. The Applicant will also be Medical Examined at the same time and place for determination of Medical fitness. Applicants who are medically unfit during Medical examination will be dropped from the list of Candidature with no further consideration. 4. To minimize the delay and hardship to the candidates, screening will be done in phases. In the 1st phase the number of candidates (will be arrange in order of merit) will approximately be two/three times the number of seats available category-wise. The names of such candidates will be placed in the notice board of the Directorate of Health Services (MI) Shillong and Civil Hospital, Shillong/Tura well in advance of the screening date indicated. 5. NO INDIVIDUAL NOTICE WILL BE SERVED to any individual applicants for appearing before the Screening Committee. All applicants are requested to note the date and time fixed and to report to Civil Hospital, Shillong/Tura accordingly. Any candidate who fails to appear before the Screening Committee will automatically lose his/ her right for further consideration of candidature and the name of such candidate will be dropped from the list of candidates. 6. Applications will be received at Room No. 108, Directorate of Agriculture, Shillong or in the Office of the District Agriculture Officer, Tura, on or before the 16th June 2010. 1. Tribal Candidates should furnish attested copy of Scheduled Tribe Certificate and Non-Tribal candidates should furnish attested copy of Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) issued by the Competent Authority. 2. Age Limit: Candidates should not be less than 17 years or more than 21years of age as on 1st July, 2009, to be supported by Admit Card. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC. 3. Education Qualification: Applicants must have passed 10+2 Level Examination in Science or equivalent examinations, with English, Physics. Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects, from recognized Universities/Boards. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate excluding additional papers and relaxable upto 5% in case of ST/SC. 4. Selection: Selection of Candidates will be strictly on the basis of merit and it will be determined purely on the marks obtained in Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry & Biology). Grace marks will not be considered. If the aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology by two or more candidates is identical, the merit will be determined by considering the marks obtained in English. If aggregate marks are still identical, marks obtained in MIL or Alternative English will be taken into account. The reservation of seats shall be based on the existing policy of the Govt Resolution No. PER/222/71/132, dated 12.01.1972. 5. All applicants fulfilling criteria in paragraphs 1 to 3 above should appear for a Personal Interview at the Directorate of Agriculture Shillong or in the Office of the District Agriculture Officer, Tura on the 22nd June, 2010 with all original certificates/testimonials for necessary verification. Where the aggregate marks secured by any two or more candidates in PCB, are identical their order to merit will be considered by taking into account marks secured in English at the qualifying examination. In the event of their order of merit remaining tied even after taking into account marks secured in English, the order of merit of such candidates will be determined by the age of the applicants whoever is older. 4.Candidates applying for more than one category of seats for Medical/Engineering/B.Sc(Agri)/B.V.Sc etc studies against State Quotas will have to indicate clearly the order of preference in their 'OPTIONS'. The Options exercised as per indication made in the application form will be FINAL and IRREVOCABLE and cannot be modified at any stage. Candidates who have been sponsored and who have accordingly secured admission against State Government Quota seats in any other category of study or course in the previous academic year/years or the present academic year will not be eligible for admission in MBBS or other allied courses available in the Department. 5. Name(s) of waiting list candidates who accept nomination for any category of higher studies against State Quota of seats in any other Discipline/Departments in pursuance of their 2nd or subsequent order of Option will be removed/not considered eligible for MBBS or other allied courses sponsored by the Department. Names once removed will not be restored to the waiting list under any circumstances. 6. Only such persons who have secured a minimum of 55% aggregated marks in Science subjects at the qualified examination are eligible to apply for seat for Medical Studies. 7. Application Form may be obtained from the office of the Director of Health Services (MI), Meghalaya, Shillong and the DM&HO, West Garo Hills, Tura against submission/Production of a crossed Indian Postal Order for Rs.10.00 (Rupees Ten) only (Rs.5.00 only in the case of ST/SC payable to the Director of Health Services (MI), Meghalaya, Shillong. Persons desirous of obtaining forms by post should also submit a self-addressed Envelope of Minimum size 22.5 cms x 10.0 cms. Applications Forms can also be obtained by submission/ production of crossed IPO of the specified amount, from the office of the District Medical and Health Officer of each District. HOWEVER COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IN THE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES (MI) AT SHILLONG AND THE DM&HO, WEST GARO HILLS, TURA, AND AT NO OTHER PLACES. 8. ON THE 21st June,2010 AND NOT TO LEAVE TILL PERMITTED BY THE AUTHORITY. HOWEVER, TO MINIMISE DELAY & HARDSHIP TO THE APPLICANTS SCREENING WILL BE DONE IN PHASES. IN THE 1st PHASE THE NUMBER OF APPLICANTS (which will be arranged in order of merit) WILL BE APPROXIMATELY TWO-THREE TIMES THE NUMBER OF SEATS AVAILABLE CATEGORY WISE. THE NAMES OF SUCH CANDIDATES WILL BE DULY PUBLISHED IN PROMINENT NEWSPAPERS WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE SCREENING DATE INDICATED AND NO INDIVIDUAL INTIMATION WILL BE SERVED. THE 2nd LIST OF CANDIDATES WILL BE PUBLISHED ONLY IN CASE OF NON AVAILABILITY OF SUFFICIENT CANDIDATES FROM THE 1st LIST. 10. The list of Applicants selected for nomination under all categories and the waiting list for each such category will be published in the Notice Board of the Health & Family Welfare Department in the Additional Secretariat Building as well as in the Notice Board of the Directorate of Health Services (MI). It will also be published in the local dallies published from Shillong and Tura. All applicants are required to ascertain the nominations from the above sources. NO INDIVIDUAL INTIMATION WILL BE SERVED ON ANY APPLICANT SELECTED FOR NOMINATION. 11. Applicants whose names are included in the list selected for the nomination and published as above are required to report to the Officer-on-Special Duty to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Health and Family Welfare Department Room No.504 , Additional Secretariat Building within the date and time to be indicated while publishing the list of selected candidates and to personally submit their letter of acceptance, execute Surety Bond for the value of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten lakhs) only (in case of MBBS course) and to collect their letter of nominations or further instructions, as the case may be. The last date for admission to different Medical Institutions will be notified through the Notice Board and Notice published in the above named Newspapers in due course. ANY SELECTED APPLICANT, WHO FAILS TO REPORT ACCORDING TO THE FIXED DATE AS SPECIFIED ABOVE, WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOOSE HIS OR HER RIGHT TO NOMINATION AND THE NEXT ELIGIBLE CANDIDATE FROM THE WAITING LIST WILL BE NOMINATED. 12. The SECOND LIST OF NOMINATION whose names will be drawn from the Waiting List will likewise be published in the Notice Board and in prominent Newspapers. Waiting List Candidates are required to ascertain the position from the above sources and take further steps accordingly. NO INDIVIDUAL INTIMATION WILL BE SERVED. 13. SUBSEQUENT SUPPLEMENTARY LIST FOR NOMINATION, IF ANY, WILL BE SIMILARLY PUBLISHED AND ALL CONCERNED ARE ADVISED TO ASCERTAIN THE POSITION THEMSELVES, AS NO INDIVIDUAL INTIMATION WILL BE SERVED. 14. The lists selected for various courses will also be available in the Meghalaya Government Website, i.e., www.meghalaya.nic.in 15. Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify consideration of candidature. 16. Terms and conditions for admission and all other requirements including recurring fees of the concerned Medical Institution to which the applicant is nominated will have to be abided and paid by the applicant concerned in time and the responsibility on this count shall rest with the candidate.
